Now Gaper has joined hands with Generation, a global employment non-profit that works through licensee Foundation for Youth Employment Pakistan (FYEP), to recruit, train, support, and place people into Full Stack Developer roles that would otherwise be inaccessible to them. The program targets recent computer science graduates or final year students, as well as industry professionals who wish to enter a more demanding segment of the software industry.
“We are seeing a growing demand for software developers ….as the post-pandemic world emerges, there is a need to find ways to re-introduce people back into the economy and software development is a skill that’s promising” Mustafa Najoom, Growth Director at Gaper.
The program will provide a comprehensive 14-week boot camp that will train and graduate new full stack-developers to market competitive levels starting January 2021. The aim is to empower local communities with greater economic opportunities and to bridge the gap between developers and companies that aim to hire them.

The full-stack developer program includes one-on-one mentoring and feedback sessions, practical applications, and industry placement. There is a shortage of full-stack developers especially with the increase in tech startups and with businesses realizing the importance of software development to put them on the map, hence the increased demand. At the same time, there is a huge need among workers for new jobs due to layoffs amidst the pandemic.
